Caravan Chaos is a multiplayer game where you launch caravans at each other. Up to four players battle it out in local and online multiplayer to see who can be the Last Van Standing in the arena. You swing and swerve with your caravan and then launch it at your opponents in four different game modes. The game modes come with twists on the physics-based caravan launching. Play soccer by launching your caravan at the ball or get rid of an explosive caravan before it detonates.
Caravan Chaos was developed by Daniel Wiendl and Michael Schwaiger, two game development students. Development started during their time at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. The university holds a biannual local-multiplayer tournament called Ludecat. The game was played during Ludecat and because of the positive reception the students were motivated to keep working on the game. After finishing their degree the two developers kept working on the game with the eventual goal of a Steam release. Because of Covid online multiplayer was also added to the game.
- Physics-based vehicular combat.
- Local and online multiplayer with up to four players.
- Varying game modes such as soccer and hot potato.
- Simple controls and control options.
- Different carzy caravan classes to wreck with.
